Dress Codes
Form-fitted dancewear is required for all classes (except Hip Hop) to allow proper alignment and safe movement. Dress codes ensures safety, discipline, and effective training.
COMBO CLASS and BUSY BEE'S DANCE PROGRAM
(Dancers age 6 and under)
Attire for dancers ages 6 and under is flexible and must remain appropriate for dance. Dancers should wear dance clothing only, no street clothes. Acceptable options include leotards, tights, tutus, chiffon skirts, one-piece tutu dresses, solid-colored leggings or sweats (no patterns), and fitted dance tops. Loose-fitting t-shirts are allowed for Hip Hop. Hair must be secured in a bun or ponytail with no hair falling into the face. A bun cover or hair net is recommended to keep it in place.
- BALLET SHOES: Pink is preferred for girls and black is preferred for boys but any color that they feel comfortable in will be the best choice.
- TAP SHOES: Slip-on tap shoes is the best choice for this age group
- TUMBLING: Barefoot
- JAZZ SHOES: Slip on jazz shoes or ballet shoes
BALLET LEVEL I/IA/II/III/IV CLASSES
- Female / Ballet Attire
- Black leotard
- Pink tights
- Pink ballet shoes (Capezio or Bloch brand)
- Shoe strings must be knotted and tucked in neatly
- No skirts or tutus (for recreational dancers ages 7+)
- Hair Requirements
- Hair must be in a slick, clean bun
- No loose or wispy hairs
- Hair net is required
- Male Attire
- Black tights or solid black sweatpants
- Fitted white t-shirt
- Black canvas ballet shoes
- Gender Inclusivity
- Dancers may wear whichever dress code they feel most comfortable in

TAP CLASSES
- Accepted Dancewear

- Jazz/athletic pants, sweats, or leggings (solid colors only, no patterns)

- Bra tops, cami tops, leotards, or fitted t-shirts
- Hair Requirements
- Hair must be secured in a ponytail or bun
- Tap Shoes
- Slip-on tap shoes are preferred
- Check shoes before every class for loose screws or taps
- Loose screws can damage the dance floors
- Maintenance
- Tap shoe repair kits are available at the front desk to tighten screws
LYRICAL, CONTEMPORARY or MODERN CLASSES
